Pork steak in juniper marinade

In this embodiment, the meat is more appetizing

You will need:

– pork steak with a thickness of about 1.5 cm/

For the marinade:

– 100 ml dry white wine;

– the juice of ½ lemon;

2 to 4 dried juniper berries;

– 1 sprig of thyme;

– 1 sprig of dried rosemary;

– 8 peas of black pepper;

– 2 peas of fragrant pepper;

– 1 tbsp olive oil;

– 2 cloves of garlic;

– 2 tsp of sugar or honey.

First prepare the marinade: in a mortar crush the juniper berries, pepper, sugar (if using honey, then it will be added later) in a separate bowl, mix the wine, lemon juice, oil, honey, crushed mixture with juniper; squeeze through the press garlic, put the thyme and rosemary. In this mixture marinate the steaks and soak for about 2 hours.

Heat a pan to grill, brush with vegetable oil and fry the steaks from both sides for 5-6 minutes. Pork must be well done, but in any case not dry. While cooking, do not pierce the steaks with a fork or knife, otherwise they will lose the juiciness.
