Potato gratin with minced meat

Chef WomanHit.ru offers its own version of minced meat for this dish

You will need:

– peeled potatoes — 800 grams;

– minced beef — 800 grams;

– milk — 150 ml;

– chicken egg — 1 piece;

– onions — 1 piece;

– carrots — 1 piece;

– tomatoes — 2 small size or 1 large;

– Bulgarian pepper red 1 piece;

– salt, pepper, rosemary, parsley to taste;

– cheese — 100 gr.

Cut potatoes into halves and boil in salted water. Prepared potatoes mash into a puree, add hot milk (do not pour cold or the potatoes may become gray), give a little to cool and beat in the egg.

While cooking the potatoes, in a pan fry the finely chopped onion in vegetable oil, add grated on a coarse grater carrots, chopped parsley, rosemary, pepper, salt and fry for another 5 minutes. Spread on a pan minced meat, stir with a fork and continuing to stir, fry for 10 minutes. We scald tomatoes, remove the skin, finely chop and add to stuffing. Simmer for about 20 minutes, the liquid should evaporate.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. In a greased form put a layer of puree (about 2 cm), and top with a layer of minced meat and again a layer of mashed potatoes. Cheese RUB on a large grater and sprinkle on top. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until Golden brown.
