His brilliant film "one Flew over the cuckoo's nest," "Amadeus" and "Man on the moon" have become classics
The greatest Czech-American Director Milos Forman died on the 87th year of life. He became known in Europe, even taking off at home in the Czech Republic, and the movies made in Hollywood brought him worldwide fame. Almost all his work has won awards at various film festivals, including Cannes and Berlin. Foreman is the winner of two Academy awards, three Golden globes, the BAFTA awards and "Cesar".
The adaptation of the novel by Ken Kesey "one Flew over the cuckoo's nest" received all five awards "Oscar": best film, direction, adapted screenplay and two major roles. After this resounding success, the Foreman talked about as the most important filmmaker of the "new wave" of America of the 70s. the Second "Oscar" for best Director Forman received in 1985 for the film adaptation of the play by Peter Shaffer "Amadeus". The film has collected eight prizes figurines.
The cause of death of the Director is unknown. The wife of the foreman told Czech television that: "His passing was peaceful and he was surrounded by his family and his closest friends."
